Wind Integration Report
In 2004, NYSERDA and the New York Independent System Operator ("NYISO") commissioned a study of the potential effects of additional intermittent generation on the operation and reliability of the New York bulk power system. Two reports were prepared. The first, "Preliminary Overall Reliability Assessment" was published on February 4, 2004 and is available on the NYS Public Service Commission's Web site.
The final report, "The Effects of Integrating Wind Power on Transmission System Planning, Reliability, and Operations" was published on March 4, 2005. The appendices are available in this seperate document. The Draft Final Report was presented to the public in February 2005, and comments were accepted for consideration by NYSERDA and the NYISO.
