Metrics as of December 31, 2009
Over $70 million has been awarded for 350 AFV projects through these programs, resulting in:
- 85 million gallons of petroleum displaced over the lifetime of these projects.
- 1,175 light, medium, and heavy-duty CNG vehicles on New York’s roads displacing over 70 million gallons of petroleum during the vehicles lifetime.
- 450 heavy-duty CNG buses displacing over 57 million gallons of petroleum over the buses lifetime.
- 160 hybrid-electric buses displacing approximately 6 million gallons of petroleum over the buses lifetime.
- Emission reductions of 4,175 tons of NOx, 280 tons of PM, 260,000 tons of CO2, 7,050 tons of CO, and 290 tons of HC over the vehicles lifetime.
- 10 new biofuel terminals displacing over 3.5 million gallons of petroleum annually.
- 28 CNG refueling facilities.
- 60 E85 ethanol and biodisel retail refueling facilities.
- At least $15 million in State investment towards New York manufacturing enterprises representing over 3,000 jobs.
