Metrics as of July 31, 2007
Over $46 million has been awarded for 198 AFV projects through these programs, resulting in:
- 70 million gallons of petroleum displaced over the lifetime of these projects.
- 966 light, medium, and heavy-duty CNG vehicles on New York’s roads displacing over 61 million gallons of petroleum during the vehicles lifetime.
- 424 heavy-duty CNG buses displacing over 54 million gallons of petroleum over the buses lifetime.
- 142 hybrid-electric buses displacing approximately 5 million gallons of petroleum over the buses lifetime.
- Emission reductions of 3,500 tons of NOx, 190 tons of PM, 260,000 tons of CO2, 7,400 tons of CO, and 290 tons of HC over the vehicles lifetime.
- 7 new biofuel terminals displacing over 3.5 million gallons of petroleum annually.
- 24 CNG refueling facilities.
- 7 E85 ethanol refueling facilities.
- At least $15 million in State investment towards New York manufacturing enterprises representing over 3,000 jobs.
