Regulatory Language for State Equipment Standards
“Mercury vapor luminaire” means a complete lighting unit consisting of a mercury vapor lamp or lamps, together with parts designed to distribute the light, to position and protect such lamps, and to connect such lamps to the power supply through the ballast.
“Mercury vapor lamp” means a high-intensity discharge lamp that uses mercury as the primary light-discharging element. No mercury vapor luminaries and/or lamps shall be purchased.
