To create a high performance school, the design team must choose the most appropriate materials and components. The most resource-efficient products and systems improve the indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and durability of a school, and they also reduce harm to the natural environment. While characteristics such as acoustical performance and visual appearance factor into product decisions, selecting material-efficient products that do not degrade indoor air quality are the main goals addressed in this course.
The course is worth 1 hour of continuing education credit in the area of Health, Saftety, Welfare.
