Designing and selecting your HVAC system requires that all interrelated building systems be considered, while also addressing indoor air quality, energy consumption, and environmental benefit. From packaged rooftop systems to radiant slab heating and cooling to gas-fired radiant heating, each school design requires a specific combination of mechanical systems to keep students, teachers, and administrators comfortable and healthy, while saving energy and keeping costs down.
This course presents basic information on different mechanical systems that can provide heating, cooling, and ventilation in schools. The course is worth one hour of continuing education credit in the area of Health, Safety, Welfare.
