NYSERDA is pleased to announce that $49.9 million is available for the second round of RFP 1613 and the second round has been extended to November 23, 2009 The 2nd round due date for RFP 1613: Project Implementation Funding for the State Energy Program, has been extended to November 23, 2009. Governor David A. Paterson announces the submittal of New York’s State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program plan to the U.S. Department of Energy for approval Governor David A. Paterson announced that New York has submitted a plan for federal approval that would provide consumers with rebates for purchasing certain energy-efficient refrigerators, clothes washers, freezers and dishwashers through a program funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). If New York’s plan is approved by federal government, the Great Appliance Swap Out program will allow the State to issue nearly 170,000 rebates totaling $16.8 million.

NYSERDA receives U.S. Department of Energy Approval on EECBG Plan
The U.S. Department of Energy has approved New York’s $29 million Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This program will help support local governments (cities and towns with a population less than 35,000 and counties with a population less than 200,000) with projects and strategies that bolster energy efficiency, create jobs within the clean energy sector, reduce energy costs, and protect the environment.

NYSERDA announces the opening of PON1686: Competitive Capacity-Based Incentive Program
NYSERDA is pleased to announce the opening of the third State Energy Program funded program: Competitive Capacity-Based Incentive Program. $79 million dollars is available for funding as a fixed amount in dollars per kW of PV installed. Teams must propose the installation of multiple individual PV systems that when combined are between a minimum block size of 500 kW and a maximum block size of 1,000 kW of PV systems. The first deadline for RFP1613: Project Implementation Funding for State Energy Program has Passed
Proposals for the program RFP1613: Project Implementation Funding for State Energy Program are no longer being accepted for the first round. Proposals for the second round are due October 26, 2009 by 5pm EST. Notification of Round 2 funding availability will be announced after Round 1 proposals have been reviewed and approved. Governor Paterson Announces New York Alternative Fuel Transportation Projects Awarded Stimulus Funds
Governor David A. Paterson announced that New York has been awarded two U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) grants totaling more than $28 million through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to assist school districts, local governments, public universities, and private businesses in purchasing clean fuel and alternative fuel vehicles and associated infrastructure.

Treasury, Energy Announce More Than $2 Billion in Recovery Act Tax Credits for Energy Manufacturers
As part of an innovative partnership aimed at increasing economic development while setting our nation on the path to energy independence, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of Energy today announced a program to award $2.3 billion in tax credits for manufacturers of advanced energy equipment. Authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act), this new program will provide tax credits to manufacturers who produce clean energy equipment.
