Monday, April 20, 2009 Desmond Hotel
660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12211
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
NY BEST Consortium
In his 2009 State of the State address, Governor Paterson announced his intention to establish an Advanced Battery Consortium that would use New York’s technical resources to research, develop, and manufacture advanced batteries and energy storage technologies. The NY BEST Consortium will address this tremendous opportunity for New York State by conducting world-class, industrially relevant research and development, and supporting industrial activity in New York in the commercialization of advanced battery and energy storage technology.
Workshop Goals
This Stakeholder Workshop will help determine the scope and direction of the NY BEST Consortium by soliciting input on New York’s capabilities, strengths, and needs in battery and energy storage fields. It will also solicit input on Consortium management structure. The draft NY BEST Consortium Plan will be presented at the Stakeholder Workshop. Companies and institutions with activities in New York State related to research, development, testing, or manufacturing of battery and energy storage technologies are invited to participate in this Stakeholder Workshop. Your input is important to help formulate NY BEST Consortium structure, direction, and priorities.

Please bring a $20 registration fee to the Workshop. Checks are preferred and can be made payable to NYSERDA. We do not have credit card processing capability.
