The New York State Energy Research and Development
Authority (NYSERDA), in cooperation with the Long Island Power Authority
(LIPA), hosted the Green Schools Summit on Monday, October 15, 2007 at Farmingdale State University - Roosevelt Hall. Keynote
addresses were delivered by Governor Eliot Spitzer and Congressman Steve
Israel. In all, about 275 were in attendance for the event, primarily made
up of Superintendents, Principals, Building and Grounds Professionals,
School Board Members, and other interested parties.
